HARTMAN MULTIMEDIA
Nature Based Multimedia Information Systems
Since 1990, Hartman Multimedia has provided computerized information systems for natural history applications.
Recently Hartman Multimedia has teamed up with the developer of the BioHere website to integrate existing content in a California natural areas section where users can access a veritable goldmine of natural history information about California, including reports for over 4,000 different birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, mammals, plants and even fossils. Thousands of natural areas are described for every California county, and the webpage offers look-up by species or by natural feature.
With the release of the iPhone™ we have been working with another partner, Earth Rover Software, and have released four revised versions of our wildflower CDs for the iPhone (note: these apps do not work on the iPad). They are California Wildflowers, Sierra Nevada Wildflowers, and just released Death Valley Wildflowers and Joshua Tree National Park Wildflowers. iPhone is a trademark of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries.

The "Nature Based Multimedia Information System" for Windows-compatible computers (except 64-bit machines) excels in its easy to use interface (no typing required) combined with convenient features (eliminates useless mouse-clicks) and ability to incorporate new data and files without having to "reprint" the CD. Our current Wildflower CD offerings include:
500 California Wildflowers
Joshua Tree National Park Wildflowers
Death Valley Wildflowers
500 Sierra Wildflowers
While designed to satisfy academic requirements, this program has the
flexibility to convey any hierarchical information set. For each item of
information, reveal text, images, a map, an audio file, references, video, and a
user controlled notepad. Data sets can be expanded and updated by loading files
onto the host computer's hard drive, and multiple CDs can be accessed by each
product.
We now offer a web-enabled information system for Natural Areas of California. See Google™ Maps and Satellite views of your favorite natural areas.
Providing easy to use, accurate information systems and specially selected images in various electronic formats and delivery systems.
